Packaging licensing
According to the Packaging Act (VerpackG), all companies are obliged to license every type of packaging that they place on the market in Germany for the first time. This applies equally to manufacturers, importers, online retailers and brick-and-mortar retailers. Registration is carried out via the LUCID portal of the Central Agency Packaging Register (ZSVR). After successful registration, participation in a dual system is required to ensure the proper disposal and recycling of packaging.
